Have you ever wondered about the origins of scientific publishing, and how the field changed over time? In this PLOScast, we take an in-depth look at the history of the peer review and editorial process beginning 350 years ago with the world’s oldest journal.

She is currently the principle investigator of a four year project that is examining the economic, social and cultural history of Philosophical Transactions, the first scientific journal.
