As of 10.55 am PST this issue was resolved and all PLoS sites are now working again.

You are being redirected to this blog because as of 7.45 am PST there was a large network outage centered in the San Francisco area and as a result all PLoS journal sites, as well as PLoS.org, are temporarily down. We’re working hard to resolve this problem and we will keep this blog post updated with latest news through the day.
