Gratitude for our readers

Many thanks to all of you for reading and commenting on the post by my beloved colleague, Janice Mack Guess, recounting her experience in the desegregation of a public school in North Carolina. It was an honor to host her moving recollections on just how far we’ve come but, sadly, what we often seem to be moving back toward.

Your comments and enthusiasm for her post, through links and tweets, were very much appreciated and helped her realize that many remain interested in the struggles that have brought us where we are today. Indeed, I believe that your support has motivated her to more deeply undertake the documentation of her experiences in blog or book form.

I’ve been very lucky in my blogging “career” to attract such kind and thoughtful readers. Thank you for your support of my friend’s story.
