World Health Day 2016: “Beat Diabetes”

This World Health Day the theme is “Beat Diabetes”, the PLOS Medicine editors are excited for the upcoming Special Issue on Diabetes Prevention.

It’s World Health Day 2016, and this year’s theme is “Beat Diabetes”. The PLOS Medicine editors are pleased with the attention that World Health Day brings to this global health epidemic, and couldn’t be more excited for our upcoming Special Issue on Diabetes Prevention. We are currently reviewing a number of excellent diabetes prevention papers for this special issue, publishing this summer.

A special thanks to all the authors who submitted, the peer reviewers, and our guest editors for this issue, Professors Nick Wareham and William Herman.

And while the deadline to appear in the Diabetes Prevention Special Issue has closed (we’re now accepting submissions to the Cancer Genomics Special Issue), authors can still submit their work on diabetes to be considered for publication and eventual inclusion with the special issue papers in the Diabetes Prevention Collection.
