Three new articles were published this week in PLoS Medicine:

In a systematic review of cohort studies of adolescent drinking and later outcomes, Jim McCambridge and colleagues show that although studies suggest links to worse adult physical and mental health and social consequences, existing evidence is of poor quality.

Richard Sollom and colleagues conducted a household survey in Western Burma and report a high prevalence of human rights violations such as forced labor, food theft, forced displacement, beatings, and ethnic persecution.

Daniel Halperin and colleagues examine reasons for the remarkable decline in HIV in Zimbabwe, in the context of severe social, political, and economic disruption.

Remember you can comment on, annotate and rate any PLoS Medicine article and see the views, citations and other indications of impact of an article on that articles metrics tab.
