On Monday 21st June 2010, PLoS San Francisco will be located in new digs in Levi’s Plaza.
We’ll be swapping our current close proximity to the Giants stadium, with their orange and black fan apparel, for the laid back Californian corporate style of Levis jeans and Dockers khaki pants. We’re also looking forward to eating our sandwiches in Levi’s Plaza Park, which is a Zen oasis of willow trees, water, rocks and a meandering path in the busy city.
We need to move because we’ve simply outgrown our existing location. With the rapid growth of PLoS ONE (soon to become the word’s largest journal) and the increasing volume of articles sent to PLoS following the NIH mandate (with hopefully more to come if the Federal Research Public Access Act becomes law), we need to get ready to expand even more.
Since we’re an online only publisher, our physical location is mostly only relevant to our staff, people who are visiting us or anyone who wants to send us snail mail. From 21st June 2010 our contact details will be as follows:
Public Library of Science
1160 Battery Street,
Koshland Building East, Suite 100
San Francisco, CA 94111, USA
Map of the area
Although the majority of our move will occur over the weekend to minimize disruption to customer service, please forgive us if we are a little less responsive in our communications for a few days as we set up our telephone systems and servers. It’s worth knowing that we’re taking our existing telephone numbers with us to our new location.
We are looking forward to moving to our new home and to welcoming you there if you visit us.
