Howdy folks! Sarah here!
I just wanted to bring a few items to the attention of the PLOS Paleontology Community, especially a few ways you can get involved with PLOS Paleo!

Top 10 Taxa of 2017 Contest!
Finally, the Top 10 contest is returning this year! Last year, we asked the community to vote for their choice for the top fossil vertebrates published open access last year, and you can find the results of that contest here. This year, we are changing the contest a bit, based on your feedback, to include any new taxa, vertebrate and invertebrate, published open access between December 1, 2016, and November 15, 2017. It will be a large group to pick from, so start thinking about what new taxa were published in the past year that you’d like to see win the top honor of being among the PLOS Paleo Top 10 Taxa of 2017. We will be making a larger announcement about the contest at the end of this month, including rules (and prizes!), so stay tuned!
I hope that you guys are enjoying the PLOS Paleontology Community! We are always looking for your feedback about what you like or what we can improve on! We are also always looking for contributors! Would you like an opportunity to write a blog for the community? Blogging is an excellent outreach opportunity! Email us as firstname.lastname@example.org, with your blog post pitch, your comments, your questions, anything! Andy, Jon, and I are eager to help you!
