I am a freelance science writer based in Brooklyn, New York. Recently I’ve been writing for Scientific American, Nature Medicine, Slate, Popular Science, Glamour, Redbook, and Men’s Journal. I am also an adjunct faculty member at CUNY’s Graduate School of Journalism. I have a background in cell biology and music composition and am an alumna of NYU’s Science, Health, and Environmental Reporting Program.
I won a 2010 American College of Emergency Physicians Journalism Award for my piece Cold Relief, published in Popular Science in February 2009. And my article Children of the Corn is featured in an issue of Mother Jones that won a 2010 American Society of Magazine Editors (ASME) Award for General Excellence.
My clips and resume can be found on my website, and on Twitter, I’m @lindy2350.
