In an ongoing effort to extend the reach of PLoS Blogs toward the larger community, we are happy to announce that today we will start featuring Guest Bloggers on our site.
These posts will be written by prominent thought-leaders from around the globe on a vast array of topics. Many of the bloggers will have permanent homes on other networks or independent sites, but have graciously accepted our offer to share a few of their ideas on our blog.
Our new initiative is very similar to the approach The Guardian Science Blog Network used for their Blog Festival, which was a very successful campaign to connect with the ever-expanding blogosphere.
